Clémence Coppey, président du Jury

Clémence Coppey est directrice de l’unité Documentaires de France 3. Diplômée de l’Institut d’études politiques (IEP) de Paris. De à 1994 à 2004, elle est successivement chargée de mission à la Commission nationale de la communication et des libertés (CNCL), déléguée générale du Syndicat des producteurs indépendants (SPI) puis productrice aux Films à Lou.

Clemence Coppey is the Creative Director of France 3 Documentary Unit. From 1994 to 2004, she was the general secretary of the French association of independant producers and a documentary producer for the Company Les Films à Lou. As a producer she was mainly interested in Society, Culture and History. And she focused on the new forms of docs and produced the first Historical doc all in archives told by a character, Combat de chien, the first direct from Saint-Denis, Carnaval, the first film about techno music, Universal techno.

Mathieu Lericq

Mathieu Lericq est chercheur en études cinématographiques à l’Université Aix-Marseille, spécialiste des cinématographies esteuropéennes. Il est co-organisateur de festivals consacrés aux films est-européens et du projet Dokest89, dont l’objectif est de répertorier l’expérience du cinéma documentaire des pays anciens membres du bloc soviétique depuis la chute du mur.

Mathieu Lericq is a researcher in cinema studies at the University of Aix-Marseille, and a specialist in Eastern European cinema. He is the co-organizer of festivals devoted to Eastern European films and the project Dokest89, whose aim is to index the documentary film experiences of former member-countries of the Soviet bloc since the fall of the Wall.

Sophie Rouffio

Sophie Rouffio, scénariste, productrice et chef-monteuse, est depuis 30 ans dans le paysage cinématographique français. Elle participe à des projets majeurs comme En Compagnie d’Antonin Artaud de Gérard Mordillat, Au Rythme où Bat Mon Coeur de Christine Aubry, Les Vivants et les Morts ou encore Corpus Christi, la série monumentale d’ARTE.

Sophie Rouffio, screenwriter, producer and chief-editor has been involved in the universe of French cinema for thirty years. She has participated in many projects, such as En Compagnie d’Antonin Artaud by Gérard Mordillat, Au Rythme où Bat Mon Coeur by Christine Aubry, Les Vivants et les Morts and Corpus Christi, the monumental ARTE series.

Simon Shandor

Simon Shandor est un acteur, réalisateur, scénariste, peintre, producteur et réalisateur hongrois. Dissident, il quitte son pays et se rend à Amsterdam pour rejoindre une troupe de théâtre. Depuis, il écrit et réalise des longs et des courts-métrages. En 2002, il reprend la direction de CLAVIS FILMS, société de production et d’édition de DVDs, qui distribue les classiques du cinéma d’Europe Centrale.

Simon Shandor is a Hungarian actor, screenwriter, painter, producer and director. As a dissident, he left his country for Amsterdam, where he joined a theatrical troupe. Since then, he has written and directed feature and short films. In 2002, he has managed CLAVIS FILMS, a production company and DVD publishing company that distributes classics of Central European cinema.

Marianna Yarovskya

Marianna Yarovskya produit et réalise Undesirables projeté en avantpremière en 1998. Depuis 2000, elle travaille pour Discovery Cjannel, National Geographic, History Channel et Greenpeace comme productrice. Elle est membre de Producers Guild of America, International Documentary Association et TV Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Marianna Yarovskaya produced and directed Undesirables, seen here in a preview screening in 1998. Since 2000, she has worked as a producer for the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, the History Channel and Greenpeace. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the International Documentary Association and the TV Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Neil Young

Neil Young est critique de cinéma et réalisateur britannique. Il est correspondant de The Hollywood Reporter et de Sight and Sound. Membre de jurys de nombreux festivals de films tels que Cannes, la Biennale et Crossing Europe. Il a été programmateur au Bradford International Film Festival, au Musée National des Médias du Royaume Uni (2005-2015) et directeur du festival de 2011 à 2015.

Neil Young is a British cinema critic and director. He works as a correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter and Sight and Sound, and has been a jury member at many film festivals, such as Cannes, the Biennale and Crossing Europe. He has worked as a programmer at the Bradford International Film Festival, at the United Kingdom’s National Media Museum (2005-2015), and as director of the festival there from 2011 to 2015.
