Born in Alsace into a Catholic and rural family, Louis Sé quickly turned to the cinema and Paris. He attended the script workshop at the Femis and trained as an actor at the Ecole du Jeu. He directed short films that won awards and were screened in numerous French and international festivals (Locarno, Montreal, Angers, Pantin, Clermont-Ferrand, Brasilia, Tokyo…). He is the author of the feature documentary Quand on dansait sur les tables (Les enfants sauvages), about the consequences of the destruction of a garden in a community of rock musicians. As an actor and video maker, he works regularly for theater and contemporary art projects.
