Fadia’s Tree (2022) est un documentaire de Sarah Beddington, sélectionné dans la section « Compétition Prix PRESENT » de la 19ème édition du Festival des films européens de Paris, L’Europe autour de l’Europe.
Sarah rencontre Fadia dans un camp de réfugiés palestiniens au Liban. Le village où vivait autrefois la famille de Fadia se trouve à 15 kilomètres d’une frontière que la femme réfugiée ne peut pas franchir. Elle met alors Sarah au défi de retrouver un vieux mûrier, dernier témoin de l’existence de sa famille dans un pays où elle n’a pas le droit d’aller. Sarah va partir à la recherche de cet arbre, tandis que des millions d’oiseaux migrateurs survolent la région.
