Jaro Minne was born in Belgium in 1992. He studied at the Helsinki Film School and LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, where he graduated in 2015. He is part of the Tsalka Film collective and is interested in East-West exchanges.

He is the author of the films "Fragments of Gabi" (2015) and "A Sister and a Brother," which have been screened at the Oberhausen Film Festival, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, Maryland Film Festival, and Message to Man St. Petersburg.
