We are pleased to announce the 17th edition of the Festival that will take place this spring from March 17 th to March 31st in Paris.
As usual, we will present 3 competitions:
- Prix SAUVAGE with 9 feature-length narrative films unreleased in France;
- Prix PRESENT with 9 recent documentary films;
- Prix SAUVAGE CORTO – a selection of the best European short-meter films.
In 2022, the Festival will participate in the France-Portugal Season program with a unique selection of 20 Portuguese films Mostra IMAGINAIRES COLONIAUX. Curated by the film-maker and writer Ariel de Bigault, this program covers the whole century of Portuguese cinema and features unique archive films provided by the Cinemateca portuguesa.
The section THEMA: Black & White will offer an exceptional selection of great film classics.
Our guest of honour this year is the renowned Georgian director Otar Iosseliani who will present a program composed of his films in black & white, including his early movies.
