Dans l’œil du chien

Dans l’œil du Chien is a portrait of two women, the director and her grandmother.

Locked up in a family huis clos, and confronted with the illness of the grandmother, they try to overcome what awaits them, by strengthening their bond towards tenderness.

Laure Portier was born in 1983 in the Deux-Sèvres region. After a degree in Modern Literature in Toulouse and a year at the ESAV, she joined the INSAS in Brussels in the Image section. After graduating, she became a camera assistant and worked on feature films. In 2019, she presents her first short film, Dans l’œil du chien, winner of the Short Film Prize at the Cinéma du réel festival. Her first feature film Soy Libre (2021) is presented at the ACID at the Cannes Film Festival 2021.
