Ekstase

Ekstase is a montage of scenes from various silent films. Based on similar settings and gestures, it explores the stereotype of the woman on the verge of madness. The same symptoms and actions are repeated in different places, settings and with different people.

Marion Kellmann studied screenwriting at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and graduated from the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. She lives in Cologne and works as a screenwriter and director. Her films have been shown in museums and festivals around the world: Die Umschulung (2006), Die siderishe Nacht (2012), Endre Tót – I’m glad if I’m happy (2017).
