The sound of the streets of Tehran turns into forbidden rhythms, people sing and rhyme their emotions. They tell us about a society that rejects them, about government-owned streets and about a utopian vision rooted in creativity.

Knutte Wester

Knutte Wester (born 1977) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Umeå. He is represented by the Andersson/Sandström gallery. His short film Dawn in a City without Name won the award for best Swedish short film at Tempo (2014). In 2015 he won several awards for his artwork, including the ABF award and a grant from the Swedish Committee for Artist Grants. In 2015, he directed A Bastard Child. The film premiered at IDFA (2016).
