On his birthday, Stavros has to be engaged to Matula. But on that day he is forced to embark on his first journey.

On his birthday, Stavros walks alone in the city. It is a day when he does not like to talk. He reflects and wonders how things would have turned out if he had made other decisions…

Stelios Moraitidis

Stelios Moraitidis is a Greek director born in Athens. He studied cinema at the Sorbonne University Paris I. In 2014, he directed his first short film Thafma – Miracle, a film essay on life in Athens selected at the 6th Beyond Borders Balkans Festival. In 2016, he directed the documentary Deconstructing Interruption, which presents the lives of the actors on the set of Yorgos Zois’ first feature film, Interruption. The film was screened at the 18th Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival. Dakar (2020) is his first short fiction film.
