Born in 1984, Alina Grigore is a Romanian actress, director, and screenwriter. She graduated from the University of Drama and Cinema in Bucharest. As an actress, she worked with Radu Potcoava in Happy End (2006), Cristi Puiu (Aurora), Adrian Sitaru (Best Intentions), Craig Lines. After working for two years in the United States, she returned to Romania where she founded the InLight Center studio which she directs. She is also the author of 9 plays and 2 short subjects. Blue Moon is her first feature-length film.

Blue Moon tells the story of Irina, a young woman trying to escape her dysfunctional family and who dreams of continuing her studies in the capital. Weighed down by the ambient violence, her efforts are doomed to failure.
