Tereza Kotyk

Tereza Kotyk was born in 1979 and studied at the University of Vienna, the University of Innsbruck, and the University of Dijon. She is also an alumna of the Wajda Film School in Warsaw.
In 2016, she directed the feature film "Home Is Here", which competed at the 20th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia. In 2018, she received the Film Residency Award for "Home Is Here" at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Film Festival at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop.

Biography
The daughter of cultural journalist Marta Pelinka-Marková and cameraman Michal Kotyk, Tereza Kotyk studied at the universities of Vienna, Innsbruck, and the University of Dijon. She also graduated from the Wajda Film Studio at the Wajda Film School in Warsaw, participating in the EKRAN+ program under the direction of Ildiko Enyedi and Wojciech Marczewski.She is also an alumnus of the Witcraft Szenario / Babylon London Diverse Geschichten program. Between 2006 and 2010, she worked at Cornerhouse in Manchester.
