His first short film, "The Professional Parent", was selected for the Short Film Corner during the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The film received an Honorable Mention at the Thomas Edison Film Festival and was officially selected for the Lebu International Film Festival in Chile.

Biography
Erik Jasaň is a Slovak director who focuses on sensitive issues affecting the people of eastern Slovakia. After studying drama at the Bratislava Conservatory and media production at the Košice Film School, he pursued a degree in film language at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
As a director, he has explored themes related to the social realities and challenges faced by marginalized communities. His short films have screened at international festivals, including the 8th Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (Oscar-qualified) and the 13th Youth Film Festival Sarajevo.
His fictional music video "Dennyiah – RECALL" (2022), starring Tatiana Pauhofová, had its American premiere at the 45th Denver Film Festival. He also co-produced the film "The Valley of the Widows," which won the Doc Around Europe Award at the 38th DOK.fest in Munich. As a first assistant director, he worked on the HBO docudrama "The Car Gangs" (2024).
