Biography
Born in 1986 in Hamburg, Arne Körner completed an apprenticeship as a baker and studied film with Wim Wenders at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Hamburg, then at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris, before graduating from Werner Herzog's Rogue Film School.
Körner's short films where shown at more than 200 national and international festivals and won numerous prices. Many of his works are represented by Light Cone, Filmmakers Cooperative and Deutsche Kinemathek.
"The Bicycle", Körner‘s first feature-length film had it’s world premier at the Festival des Films du Monde de Montréal and received the Prix du Jury. In January 2017 followed the German cinema release. His second feature film "Gasman" premiered at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival and had its nation wide cinema release in 2021. "Nonkonform" is Körners third feature film.
