Biography
Born into a family of artists, Uliks Fehmiu is the son of Bekim Fehmiu, a renowned Albanian actor, and Branka Petrić, a Serbian actress. This dual cultural background enriched his artistic sensibility. He attended the "Jelena Ćetković" Elementary School before attending the Sixth Gymnasium in Belgrade. Passionate about drama, he enrolled at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he honed his acting skills.
Even during his university years, Uliks distinguished himself on stage, participating in various theatrical productions. In 1990, he made his film debut playing a café owner in the drama "Početni Udarac." This role marked the beginning of a prolific career. He followed this with notable appearances in films such as "Crni Bomber" (1992), in which he portrayed a complex character in a post-apocalyptic setting, and "Bulevar Revolucije" (1992), an exploration of the social upheavals in Yugoslavia.
In 2012, his performance in "Ustanička Ulica" was critically acclaimed, earning him the "Car Konstantin" Award at the Niš Film Festival and the "Heart of Sarajevo" at the Sarajevo Film Festival. These accolades confirmed his status as a major figure in Serbian cinema.
Alongside his film career, Uliks remained committed to theater, exploring a variety of roles that demonstrated his versatility. His passion for stage and screen leads him to divide his time between Belgrade and New York, where he continues to dedicate himself to diverse artistic projects.
On a personal level, Uliks is married to actress Snežana Bogdanović. Together, they have a daughter named Nika. This union illustrates the continuity of a family tradition dedicated to the dramatic arts.
